We adore our land and our family of patient viticulturists

The Winery

The people, the soul

Luis Ángel Briones, in love with the land, and his family of patient viticulturists, embarked on a new and modern project beginning with developing the complexity of the queen of Ribera del Duero grape varieties: Tempranillo (Tinta del Pais). The passion and respect he feels for his vineyards are transmitted in his wines and passed onto those who enjoy them. His wines have just been released onto the market and have caught the eye of some of the major wine critics in our country. The wines are beginning to receive praise and the word is spreading.

Winemaking

In the family winery

The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks of 5,000 and 14,000 litres. Maceration of between 14 and 20 days, depending on the type of wine. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of between 25ºC and 28ºC. Rackings are guided by lunar rhythms. The wines undergo malolactic fermentation in barrel. Ageing takes place in new barrels, 70% French oak and 30% American oak, of excellent quality and different toasts. The ageing period is between 6 and 20 months depending on the type of wine and the evolution of the vintage. The wine then ages in bottle until the roundness and elegance is optimum to be released onto the market.
